Unipolar Neuron - Clock to tap tempo converter
The Unipolar Neuron is an analog clock to tap tempo converter (or V-trig to S-trig for you vintage synth nerds!). It allows for easy syncing of up to two pedals that have an external tap tempo socket with any gear that produces a clock signal such as a modular synth or drum machine. This allows for delays and modulation to be perfectly in time without any need for manually tapping, making it ideal for a dawless setup.
The Unipolar Neuron is compatible with pedals that require either a NO (EHX, MXR, Chase Bliss & Walrus Audio etc) or NC momentary switch (Boss) for the tap tempo function. The tap sockets are wired so that when a clock signal is applied the tip of the inserted jack becomes grounded so it's not suitable for pedals that require a connection to be made to the ring of the jack socket (DOD Rubberneck, TC Electronics Flashback 2). The clock input is designed to work with a 0-5V clock signal but can accept up to 20V without damage. Get in touch if you have any questions about compatibility!
